Single? Live Your Dreams and Attract the Dream Guy for You

Are you waiting for the ‘dream guy’ to show up before you decide to live your dreams?

If you are, consider this: You living your dreams now is super attractive to MEN, especially the right man for you. Plus, a woman who taps into her dreams and pursues what makes her heart beat has an essence about her that’s irresistible.

I know. I know. I AM still single.

And, I have yet to connect and commit to my dream guy. How–ever —¬†I do know what it’s like to live your dreams now, while happily waiting to #GetEngaged ūüėČ with the ‘dream guy’ for me. I’ve also committed my life to empowering girls and women to #GetEngaged and live fully now!

Why does this matter so much (to me)?

First of all, I know what it’s like to haphazardly commit to the wrong guy. It’s no fun to drag someone into a whole relationship that you’re half-in. It can also get dangerous rolling around with men who have no good intentions for you. Right?! Right!

Second of all, I’ve escaped the clutches of some serious nightmarish guys to know,¬†waiting¬†for the right guy is where it’s at. As I begrudgingly reflect on a guy who once told me, “I see God in you and I don’t want no part of it?!” Really, dude?

And, last but not least, from one single woman to the other, I can’t stress enough how amazing it is to take advantage of your singleness, while you can. I know this isn’t popular teaching, but the Apostle Paul’s instruction is right! While you’re single, do the work God is calling you to do. Life is better mentally, physically and spiritually this way. ¬†¬†

Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. ~I Corinthians 7:8-9 NIV

Sidebar: If you’re not called to be single or celibate, clearly the above Scripture doesn’t apply to you. So, no need to be weirded out.

But, please hear me! Instead of being overly idle or wasting time obsessing over not being in a relationship, consider your singleness as the greatest opportunity to #GetEngaged with you and your dreams, now!

If you’re honest, maybe¬†you’ve been secretly wanting to invest more time getting to know you¬†(and God)?

Do you know that when you turn up your level of self-engagement, you automatically turn up your level of self-recognition? And when you’re able to recognize yourself, your beauty, gifts and talents, it’s extraordinarily empowering and boosts your overall confidence. Check out #6 in this article, 25 Killer Actions to Boost Your Self-Confidence.

Instead of waiting for the ‘dream guy’ to arrive to bask, yes –bask, in the beauty of your life, you can choose to live now and enjoy all the benefits that come with being a single woman.

For now, while you’re still single, think about and answer these questions:

What do you like to do?

What work is God calling you to do?

What color do you look incredible in?

What would you like to create?

Who would you like to visit?

Who would you love to serve?

What hairstyle suits you best?

What’s your favorite thing to do?

While you’re single, it’s imperative that you #GetEngaged with the desires of your heart and DO THEM. While you’re single, learn how to be more compassionate with your family, your friends and coworkers. While you’re single, explore and maximize being the ‘GOOD’ thing your future hubby is in search of (not for his sake, but for your union). What do you think? Are you up for the challenge to live your dreams, while you ‘happily’ wait for the dream guy?

I can’t promise when (or if) the ‘dream guy’ will arrive, but what I can say is when you #GetEngaged with you, you will attract¬†men who align more with who you really are. Then the question¬†for you will be; who is best suited for you and your beautiful purpose?

Let me know what you think about living your dreams now.¬†Leave a comment below, won’t you?
